Before the Integration

Before you start, you need to make sure that:

  • You do have a Banckle account.
  • You do have an account at Moodle 1.9, with Admin privileges and now want to integrate the Banckle Chat Widget on it.
  • Your Moodle website is hosted over the Internet. Banckle Chat is not recommended if you have your website on localhost, i.e. your local web server on your own machine/PC.

Integrating the Widget

  1. Log into your Moodle website with admin credentials.
  2. On the top toolbar, click Turn editing on.
The Moodle controls go into edit mode. Once editing is on, a dropdown section "Blocks" is displayed.
  3. Go to the Blocks section and click on Add.
  4. Select HTML from Blocks.
A "new HTML block" has appeared.
  5. In HTML block, switch to HTML source view by clicking the Toggle HTML Source button in block toolbar.
    HTML source view is displayed.
  6. In the Content text area, paste your Banckle Chat HTML Widget code and click Save Changes.
The Banckle Chat Plugin for Moodle 1.9 is successfully integrated with your Moodle website.
For more information about how to copy the Banckle Chat Widget Code please go through Getting the Deployment Widget HTML Code documentation topic. Ensure that you copy the entire Widget code for Banckle Chat to function properly.

After the Successful Integration

This section is for you if:

  • You have successfully installed and activated Banckle Chat Plugin for Moodle at your Moodle website.
  1. Sign into Banckle Apps and then go to the Banckle Chat to start chatting with your visitors through Banckle Chat Plugin.
