Before the Integration

Before you start, you need to make sure that:

  • You do have an admin account at WordPress website to be able to install and activate Banckle Chat Plugin for WordPress.

Download and Installation

  1. Go to Banckle Chat WordPress Plugin page and download the Banckle Chat Plugin for WordPress.
  2. Extract all files from the banckle-live-chat-for-wordpress ZIP archive.
  3. Upload the extracted banckle-live-chat-for-wordpress folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.

Activation

This section is for you if:

  • You have already downloaded and installed Banckle Chat WordPress Plugin v.1.2 on your WordPress website.
  • You do not have a Banckle Account.
  • You have not configured a department as well as deployment using Banckle Apps Admin.
  1. Sign into your WordPress Admin Console.
  2. Click Banckle Chat, under the Settings menu.
    The Banckle Chat for WordPress - Account Information page is displayed.
  3. Click Sign Up.
    The Banckle Chat for WordPress - Sign Up page is displayed.
  4. Provide following information:
    • Banckle Login ID: enter your Banckle account ID.
    • Password: enter the password for the corresponding Banckle account ID.
    • Email: enter a valid email address to receive the account confirmation email.
  5. Click Register.
    The Banckle Chat for WordPress - Create Department page is displayed.
  6. In the Department field, enter the name of the new department and click Create Department.
    The Banckle Chat for WordPress - Create Deployment Screen is displayed.
  7. In the Deployment area, provide following information:
    • Deployment: enter the name of the deployment.
    • Title: enter the title to be shown on the deployment widget button.
    • Copyright Text: enter the copyright text.
  8. In the Messages area, provide following information:
    • Invite: enter the chat message that is presented to the visitor in order to invite.
    • Online: enter the chat message that is presented to the visitor as welcome message.
    • Offline: enter the chat message that is presented to the visitor in case the operator is not available.
    • Waiting: enter the chat message that is presented to the visitor while waiting.
    • Exit: enter the chat message that is presented to the visitor at the end of the chat session.
  9. In the Appearance area, from the Position drop-down list, select the corner at which you want the Banckle Chat button to be displayed on your WordPress website.
    The available positions are:
    - Widget: sets the position of Banckle Chat button on the desired side-bar/widget area.
    - Top Left: sets the position of Banckle Chat button at the top left corner of your WordPress website.
    - Top Right: sets the position of Banckle Chat button at the top right corner of your WordPress website.
    - Bottom Left: sets the position of Banckle Chat button at the bottom left corner of your WordPress website.
    - Bottom Right: sets the position of Banckle Chat button at the bottom right corner of your WordPress website.
  10. Click Create Deployment.
    The deployment is successfully done and the Banckle Chat for WordPress - Deployment Success page is displayed.
  11. Click Activate Live Chat.
    The Banckle Chat is successfully activated on your WordPress website and the Banckle Chat for WordPress - Activation Success page is displayed.
    To deactivate the Plugin, please click Deactivate Live Chat on the Banckle Chat for WordPress page.

This section is for you if:

  • You have already downloaded and installed Banckle Chat WordPress Plugin v.1.2 on your WordPress website.
  • You do have a Banckle Account.
  • You have already configured a department as well as deployment using Banckle Apps Admin.
  1. Sign into your WordPress Admin Console.
  2. Click Banckle Chat, under the Settings menu.
    The Banckle Chat for WordPress - Account Information page is displayed.
  3. Sign in using your Banckle account credentials.
    The Banckle Chat for WordPress - Select Deployment page is displayed.
  4. Select the required deployment and click Activate Live Chat.
    The Banckle Chat is successfully activated on your WordPress website and the Banckle Chat for WordPress - Activation Success page is displayed.
    To deactivate the Plugin, please click Deactivate Live Chat on the Banckle Chat for WordPress page.

Integration as a Widget

This section is for you if:

  • You have already downloaded, installed and activated Banckle Chat Plugin on your WordPress website.
  • You want to use the Plugin as a widget.
  1. Sign into your WordPress website admin.
  2. On the left menu, click Appearance and then Widgets.
    The Widgets screen displays.
  3. Drag the Banckle Chat Widget to the desired side-bar/widget area.
    The Banckle Chat Widget is displayed in edit mode.
  4. Click Save.
    The Banckle Chat Widget for your WordPress website is successfully integrated.

After the Successful Integration

This section is for you if:

  • You do have an admin account at WordPress.
  • You have also downloaded the Banckle Chat Plugin for WordPress and have installed it into your WordPress website.
  • You have successfully activated the Banckle Chat Plugin into WordPress.
  1. Sign into Banckle Apps and then go to the Banckle Chat to start chatting with your visitors through Banckle Chat Plugin.
    You may access Banckle Chat application directly using this URL: http://chat.banckle.com
