Banckle Supports WebRTC for Audio, Video Chat & Data Sharing

WebRTC (Web Real-Time Communication) is a World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) API definition that supports voice and video chat as well as P2P file sharing. WebRTC is designed to effectively give users the ability to hold audio or video conversations with each other without requiring a plugin or any additional software to be installed.

Banckle strives to give our valued users the best usage experience by leveraging all latest technologies currently available. Keeping true to this, we are pleased to announce WebRTC support in Banckle.Meeting. Conduct audio conferencing, HD video streaming, file and data sharing, webinars, screen sharing or presentations in a true HTML5 based environment. With the addition of WebRTC support, Banckle.Meeting enables plugin-free real-time-communication through web browsers fully loaded with great audio and video conferencing features.

WebRTC is currently supported on latest releases of Google Chrome, FireFox and Opera web browsers. There is no dependency on the Flash Player for WebRTC-enabled browsers.

During this last month, we have added many new features to our applications and also improved existing features. The following release notes for each application provides an easy to digest overview of changes during July 2014.

New Features

- Icon Based Department List  This new feature allows assigning different icons to available list of departments.
- Device Based Proactive and Automatic Invitations  You can now configure Banckle.Chat automatic and proactive invitations to be sent to website visitors based on the device they are using while browsing your website.
- Offline Message Email Validation  Visitor email address would be validated before they can leave an offline message to ensure a correct email address is mentioned for contacting them back.

How to get and Activate it?

WordPress users now have an even more easy way of deploying Banckle.Chat on their site. Simply download our wordpress plugin! Activating it is dead easy as well. You can either use your existing Banckle account or register for a Banckle account seamlessly without even leaving the wordpress backend.

After the Activation

Once Banckle.Chat is activated, our widget would auto-magically appear in your wordpress site. Of course at this point, the widget design would be the default one. The next step would be to style the widget and configure other settings to fit your needs specifically. You can do this effortlessly within the plugin by clicking on “Customize”.

Improved Privacy Settings and Chat Sessions Management by Banckle

We take reasonable steps consistent with industry best practices, which are designed to help protect the privacy of information, from loss, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.

Banckle.Chat ImprovedPrivacySettings Improved Privacy Settings and Chat Sessions Management by Banckle

Banckle.Chat recently introduced a number of improved security measures including Data Encryption and Data Obfuscation. We are now pleased to announce an enhanced live chat system with robust privacy settings allowing website chat administrators to implement specific policies for restricting access to the customer conversations.

Account Admins can control how available chat operators access customer live conversations history. Based on your usage scenario, you can apply privacy settings to let following type of users to access customer conversations history as required. But before that, you may look at this video tutorial to familiarize yourself with Banckle.Chat Admin Console and efficiently work with required app functions.

  - All available users - all operators signed into Banckle.Chat
  - Operators in a specific department only
  - Operators who participated in a specific live chat session only
  - Account administrators only

All Available Users option will let anyone signed into Banckle.Chat, with our without admin level access, view all available live chat sessions conducted previously.

Operators In a Specific Department Only option will let the operators added in the department which visitor selected before sending in a live chat request, view the history of available chat transcripts. For instance, if you have two departments linked with your deployment, Customer Support and HR. A website visitor wants to chat with the HR department, he selects this department and sends in an online chat request, and a chat session is started. Only the operators added in HR department will be able to view this chat session.

Operators Who Participated In a Specific Live Session Only option allows the view of history of live sessions where a specific operator accepted a live request and conducted the online chat session. If this chat session was transferred to another operator, both the initial and later operators who participated in the live session will be able to view it in the list of history sessions.

Account Administrator Only option will let only the account admins to view chat history. Anyone without the admin level access will not have access to previously conducted live sessions.

With this feature, Banckle.Chat has taken another step towards firmly establishing itself as one of the complete enterprise level, cloud hosted live chat solutions in the market.

Data Obfuscation and Encrypted Live Chat in the Cloud

At Banckle, we are committed to providing a great user experience to our valued customers. As all our customer service tools are hosted in the cloud, we leave nothing to chance when it comes to the security of data and information exchanged or stored on our servers. We use 256-bit data encryption for information transmission. The connection is encrypted using Advanced Encryption Standard (AES_256_CBC) and meets FIPS standards. We further ensure customers' security with a fool proof time-stamped token and centralized authentication system.

We have further enhanced the security procedures of your favorite customer service product, Banckle.Chat. It protects your privacy as well as your customers. Communication with visitors, agents, and the Banckle.Chat servers are established only over AES 256-bit encrypted HTTPS channels offering SSL security encryption. All information handled by Banckle.Chat is considered confidential and held under strict security measures.

Banckle.Chat also supports Data Obfuscation which allows you to conceal alpha and numeric information in a chat transcript. Personal alpha and numeric information is masked to make it more secure, offering you bank grade security and chat protection while using Banckle.Chat. You can conceal data during a chat in real time or after a chat closes which prevents anyone from seeing alpha and numeric data except the agent assigned to the chat.

In an ongoing chat session, you have total control over masking sensitive customer data or even removing it permanently from the chat. Or, you can remove data masking to show the original content of the shared data. How To Setup This Feature

Admin Screen

Sign into Banckle.Chat (If you don't yet have an account, sign up using Create an Account link)

Banckle.Chat Sign-in Screen

Click on Settings option from the navigation panel.
Select Security tab.

Select Security Option

Enter a random password in password field and click Generate to encrypt it. This could be later used for accessing the data you encrypted.

Apply Security Settings

Press Save to apply the changes.

Operator Screen

During a live chat session, you can now encrypt any number. Select the number to view encryption option.

Clicking on this option will hide the number string. Hover your mouse over the encrypted string to view actual data.

Improved Privacy Settings in Banckle.Chat

We are now pleased to announce that Banckle.Chat recently introduced a number of improved security measures including Data Encryption and Data Obfuscation. This enhanced system of privacy settings allows administrators to implement specific policies for restricting access to the customer conversations.
 
Account Admins can control how available operators access customer live conversations history. Based on your usage scenario, you can apply privacy settings to let following type of users to access customer conversations history as required:

  • All available users - all operators signed into Banckle.Chat
  • Operators in a specific department only
  • Operators who participated in a specific live chat session only
  • Account administrators only

 
With this feature, Banckle.Chat has taken another step towards firmly establishing itself as one of the most Enterprise friendly live customer assistance apps hosted in cloud.
